Magicians Apprentice FREE MAGIC WORKSHOP! The Magicians Apprentice is held at the Magic Juggler Shop from 1pm to 2pm every third Saturday of the month. Attendees must be 12yrs or older. Professional magicians will work with audience members on beginner presentation, sleight of hand, and more! Wise Men-Wise Women mentorship training Volunteer mentors needed for Rio Rancho and Bernalillo schools. Training is Friday, March 7, 4:30 to 5:30 pm. RSVP to Robyn Kelley at rkelley@nmvoices.org or 505-259-6161. Must commit to 30 to 45 minutes a week for one year. Mentoring takes place at schools during school hours. Children are aged 6 to 14. No experience necessary.

Haven House Run for Shelter, Phase II Haven House, the only dedicated domestic violence service provider of Sandoval County, is holding its third annual motorcycle rally on April 19, 2008. The 2008 rally is an informational fun run where, at each stop, riders will have the opportunity to learn more about signs of domestic abuse while picking up a color-coded ticket that they will turn in at the end for sponsor-donated door prizes.
The rally will begin at Thunderbird Harley-Davidson Buell Motorcycle Shop, at 5000 Alameda Blvd NE between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. Prior registration is not required. The cost to ride is $10 per bike and includes a Haven House do-rag and special Haven House Run for Shelter ribbon pins; extra do-rags and pins for passengers are $5 each.

Great American Cleanup! Its time for the 9th Annual Great American Cleanup! Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful needs volunteers for our citywide cleanup on Saturday, April 28 from 8:00am to 12 noon. Take action to beautify our community with your co-workers, with family or with friends!Activities include cleaning public lands, right-of-ways, vacant lots, and parks. Advance registration is required to receive cleanup supplies. Volunteers will be rewarded with a "Thank You" party at Haynes Park following the cleanup. Email or Call 896-8729 to register!
